Best Practices for Mental Toughness? Show me yours, I'll show you mine.
I don’t know if these are ‘mental toughness’ practices, but they are things I do daily that carry me through tough days

1. Focus on the end goal
Some days - it’s the end of the day. Some days it’s getting X task done.
2. Listen to positive songs that bring your energy up
Some days i am very bleh. There are some songs I know will raise my energy level. I have a playlist and I go play then when I know my energy isn’t where it needs to be for a meeting or a presenation.
3. Think of 3 good moments a day
What made you smile, what gave you joy or encouraged you?
4. Find a belly laugh.
Twitter is great for finding belly laughs: those things that not just make you laugh, but make you laugh for a least a minute.
5. Look for beauty
I find a.spot that I’ve never been to before and I look for it on YouTube. If I search on 4K videos, I’m almost certain to find a beautiful spot.
6. Ask myself what made today different from every other day of my life
7. Finally - ignore the thing that is trying to aggravate, discourage or depress you.
I have days where it’s really just me putting on my teflon armor. I’ve done it so often that I’ve gotten used to it. I no longer know whether I’m numbing out or what, but I attend to the situation.
