Best way to drink coffee

    1. Latte

This is my favourite choice and how I most often drink my coffee.

    2. Mocha

This is a big treat for me. I don't buy in bulk! Occasionally I find iced mocha coffee in M&S. It really is fabulous.

    3. Black with honey

I rarely drink black coffee. If we're out of milk, I'll make a black coffee with a spoonful of honey.

    4. Espresso

Occasionally, if we're in a restaurant or a hotel, I'll order an espresso after a meal. It's never quite as good as the espressos I used to drink in Paris in 1984/85. Mostly because they were the cheapest coffee on the menu! Always with two lumps of sugar.

    5. Frothy milk

If Chris makes me a coffee, he'll froth the milk for me.

    6. Raw milk

I buy raw milk from Tagg Lane Dairy. Their lattes are amazing. I use the raw milk at home in my morning coffee. I also buy milk more locally from Inn Farm Dairy. Their milk is incredible too.

    7. A nice café

Somewhere nice to sit somehow makes the whole coffee experience so much better.

    8. Car café

During lockdown we bought coffee (or tea, in Chris' case) from the Little Shed, drove to a nearby lay-by and create the Car Café (renamed more recently to the Café au Lait-By). Those coffees, after not being able to go to a café were the best!

    9. Take away cup

Maybe this is counter intuitive but sometimes a take away cup is better than a nice cup and saucer. It keeps the coffee hot for longer and it adds a bit of luxury to your day - especially if you take a nice coffee back to your desk.

    10. Decaf

Although I love coffee, I try not to drink too much. Definitely not after mid afternoon. I like a cup of decaf early evening. I had to shop around though before I found a decaf variety that I liked. I buy Kenco at the moment.
