Books by Raymond Briggs
I learned today that Raymond Briggs died yesterday, aged 88. His work has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, possibly starting with The Snowman.
1. The Man
My all time favourite Raymond Briggs book is The Man. It's charming, quirky. A story about a tetchy Man who has a lot of demands! Reading it always makes me smile. And go out and buy Frank Cooper's Oxford marmalade.
I didn't know about this cassette audiobook until today! But it will give you an idea of the story.

2. Notes from the Sofa
This was a book funded by readers via Unbound. My name's included in the List of Supporters.

3. The Snowman
Christmas wasn't Christmas until we had watched The Snowman. It never lost its charm, year after year.

4. The Bear
I had this picture book. No words.

5. The Bear continued
6. Ug
A bit like The Man, just from the Stone Age.

7. Father Christmas
Blooming Christmas!

8. When the Wind Blows
I watched the film fairly recently.

9. Ethel and Ernest
My Mum bought this book - the life story of Raymond Briggs' parents.
