    1 - Identify your big vision/goal.
    2 - Write down the steps to get there.
    3 - Make sure the steps are broken down into small enough chunks that each one can be tackled in a day.
    4 - Start today.
    5 - Work on a task, no matter how big or small, every day. Don't break the chain.

Today marks my one-year anniversary of writing daily idea lists on NotePD. Here is what I learned.

    1. The process is far more important than the streak.

    One could argue the streak and the process are one in the same, but I don't think so. I look at the streak, or my place on the leaderboard, as nothing more than ways to gamify the process. The process is the habit of consistently writing ideas every day. It's something I must do every day, like brushing me teeth and drinking water. It has no definite end-goal. The goal is the process.

    1. Building a business rather than getting a job.

    This year, I decided to take the plunge and start my own e-commerce business. It wasn't easy, but it has been one of the best decisions I ever made. I've learned invaluable lessons about entrepreneurship and risk-taking, and while I have a lot of room for growth I've achieved greater success than I ever imagined.
