Great list here. Wives do put up with a lot. One joke my wife and I have had for years, decades really, is that keeping me around becomes much less compelling if I ever lose the ability to be better at opening jars than she is.
Take that as a metaphor but also as a literal call to stay fit and healthy.

I'm out just about every Friday night, many Saturday afternoons, and some weekday evenings from late August through November officiating high school football. Last fall, I actually passed on going to a family member's wedding reception (did go to the Friday afternoon wedding) to work a Friday evening game which was a few miles from the church. The reception was about an hour the opposite way.
