1. Take the time to learn about the candidates
2. Decide on what issues are important to you.
3. Decide whether you want your voice to be heard.
4. The more local the election, the more likely the outcome will effect you directly.
5. Exercise your choice while supporting other’s.
6. Deep breath. Election season doesn’t last forever.
7. Please, if you chose not to vote, don’t complain about the outcome.
8. If you are truly dissatisfied with all the candidates; consider getting actively involved going forward.
9. Becoming a candidate is only one way to do this.
10. Maybe start by attending your local village, town, etc. board meetings. Open to the public, but rarely attended.
