Epic Supernatural Stories Never Die
Writing is a Meditation Itself. Writers access their intuition and tap into the supernatural to write epic stories, set in other realms of vast landscapes beyond the physical world.
1. Humans are wired for epic stories, and writers allow them to escape their world and enter another realm.
Shakespeare's Hamlet written in 1600AD, is borrowed from a Norse story about Prince Amleth in 1200AD by Saxo Grammaticus, and Hamlet inspired Disney's Lion King in 1994, 400 years later. This supernatural epic storyline of The Prince Destined to be king continues after 800 years. The writers of epic tales go beyond normal sensory contact into their clairvoyance.
2. Epic Stories Have a Hero's Journey In a Vast Setting For Their Reader's Imaginations to Take Flight
The hero starts out in his usual life, in an epic setting. In The Lion King, Simba, the lion cub is wandering the vast Sub-Saharan Plain in Africa enjoying his life until he is confronted by the ghost of his dead father King Mufasa, who says his uncle Scar murdered him and Simba must avenge his death. Simba's initial reaction is to run away, and he is banished by his uncle Scar, then sees his father's ghost which sets up the conflict in the story.
3. The Writer's Message is The Same For All Three Princes - Remain Where You are, or Take Up The Challenge And Learn
Hamlet doesn't believe the ghost fully at first, and dives into an inner turmoil, and fails to act, and the story ends in tragedy, similar to Amleth's story. He needed to accept the challenge and act immediately, but didn't. In The Lion King, Simba doesn't accept the challenge immediately, but eventually does after seeing his father King Mufasa's ghost.
4. In The Lion King, Simba Is Banished From The Pride Lands by Scar until his Father, King Mufasa's ghost Appears to him and Tells Him to Avenge Scar Who Murdered Him
I launched a novel course this year that shows you how to tap into your intuition to get your book done, on time, quickly and distraction free, so you can leave a lasting literary legacy. Course link is in my bio.
