Exercises I could try that wouldn't be so bad
H/T @torrey
As a guy who doesn't enjoy exercising and sees very little point in going to a gym, I thought I would give this a shot.

1. Walking
The trick is to start you have to have a destination. Walk to the coffee shop. Or the library. Eventually, you may go for a walk just to walk.
2. Miniature golf
Mostly walking with a little swearing thrown in.
3. Hiking
More walking, just with more terrain added. Start slow and short. Have a plan. And still have a destination.
4. Household chores
Who likes doing chores? I would rather walk up and down the stairs with laundry than wait for the stairmaster at the gym. Add you are getting stuff done.
5. Yard work / Gardening.
No power tools allowed. And you will have something tangible to show.
6. Get a dog.
More walking. Plus playing. And let's add Frisbee from the original list. A great way to meet people. Good for emotional levels too.
7. Fishing
If you are taking the boat, leave the motor at home. Paddle, row, or sail and then reward yourself by drifting. Otherwise, take your pole and go for a walk along the stream or around the lake. Stop whenever you feel like it.
8. Find an exercise trail.
While not as common as they used to be they are still out there. Check the parks in your area. The idea is to take a walk along the trail and at each station there is a different exercise to do. Maybe pull ups. Maybe steps. Each station will also often have a beginner exercise option and a more advanced option.
9. Horseback riding.
10. Cycling
Did your Mom ever tell you to go outside and ride your bike? She was right.
