Favorite Toys As A Kid
In no particular order.
1. Legos
Legos have of course evolved over the years. Tell me if this is wrong but now they seem to be more about making models out of Legos like something from Star Wars or a neat car. I only remember Legos being a bunch of different sized blocks and different shaped pieces and you figured out stuff to make which added a layer of creativity that I don't think exists now. Please tell me if that is wrong.
2. Corgis
Toy cars that were bigger than Hot Wheels. The doors, hood and trunk opened on Corgis. What little boy doesn't love cars?
3. Civil War toy soldiers
This is pretty much what they looked like. These made me curious about history.
4. Collectible cards
Sports cards and Wacky Packs are what I remember most.
5. Baseball glove
Maybe not a toy but I always had my glove with me.
6. Bicycle
I was one of those 1970's stereotypical kids who would leave in the morning on his bike and be home in time for dinner.
7. Map on my wall
Not a toy but I've known the layout of the US since I was very young and generally known where most countries are on the globe.
