I am grateful to be where I am, to do what I do, and to share it with the people I know. And it’s a superpower! Pro tip: if you are feeling under-appreciated, double-down on gratitude for others. The more you say “thank you”, the more people will appreciate you.

I will focus on helping others. This will keep me busy and keep my mind active. It will also build a network of happy people who are kicking ass, so if there comes a point when I need help, there will be people I can turn to. And if they’re too busy to help me, that’s cool too.

People sometimes ask me “How do you control your team if they’re all remote?”
It’s the wrong question. They should be asking themselves “What am I doing wrong as a leader that I think my team needs to be controlled?”

Check your corporate policies. I promise you, they don’t say that work isn’t allowed to be fun (if they do, quit immediately). Find the game in every task, make it fun, make it fun for the people around you, and sit back to watch the magic happen.
