Imagine what would happen if we shifted our goals from seeking external fulfillment to recognizing the completeness within ourselves. Not forgiving our brother is what prevents us from experiencing the peace and joy that already exists within us.
2. Forgiveness offers everything that we could possibly want.
It offers inner peace, joy, love, connection, fulfillment, purpose, freedom, and truth.
Peace and joy are not found in the outer world, only in the inner world. Our deepest desire is to experience love and connection with others and God. Forgiveness removes all barriers of resentment. As many of us have discovered, external fulfillment is not only fleeting but inept. We're already perfect and whole but holding onto "who did what to whom" keeps us trapped in a cycle of suffering. Forgiveness is a way for us to reconnect with our oneness and with love.
