"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." (Matthew 22:21) (1 min 28 sec)

Preview

    1. The world we perceive through our five senses, including the institutions and systems of government and society, is an illusion that is based on the belief in separation from God.

"Caesar" is the external world, the realm of separation and ego-driven concerns. It's the temporal power and authority of the ego. "God" is the reality of love, unity, and truth that lies beyond the ego. Our true identity is not the body or the ego, but rather the eternal, changeless spirit that is one with God.
The call to "give to Caesar what is Caesar's" is recognizing that we must participate in the world of form and fulfill our obligations and responsibilities within that world. However, it is important to remember that this world is an illusion and not to become overly attached to it or to seek our true happiness within it.
The call to "give to God what is God's" is a reminder to give our devotion to the truth of our being. By turning our minds towards the love of God, we experience the peace, joy, and fulfillment that is our birthright. The world of form and the world of spirit are not separate. The world of form is a projection of the mind.
