Great party idea
Was at one last night and they did something that I think was smart
1. Not too big
The party I was at last night was about 15 people.
2. Have drinks
Alcoholic and non.
3. Have snacks
But not main courses. Dips, chips, finger foods ok. That way people can snack on them all night.
4. Allow a cocktail hour
Where you just hang out. Maybe a sporting event is on TV. You hang with those you know as people arrive.
5. Force everyone to meet everyone
This is the hard part, but the party I was at last night pulled it off. This way you leave and you have at least spent 1 minute with every person there.
6. Create a game where you have to meet
This party had a bingo game where it had squares where it would say something like "Has more than 2 pets." "Has 2+ siblings." "Wasn't born in (the state you are in)", etc. You could have a rock, paper, scissors game. The loser has to tell the winner a secret. Whatever.
7. Do this for about 30 min
8. Have a winner and give a prize
Someone won $20 in lottery tickets
