how are you immersed?
i see immersive as the act of being present in the moment, the environment, the world and reality you create with your thoughts and senses. so..
1. what is your preferred method of immersion?
creating a frame for the moment (such as the beginning and end of a play or an activity) can help create contrast for when you are present to this moment.
2. are you aware of such immersion?
my meditation teacher used to call the moment in meditation when you "disappear" as "gone-ness" or maybe "god-ness".. it's a sensation beyond sleep, where time and space disappear completely, and you have no recollection of what happened. this zone-like immersion may be too deep for the conscious mind, but other moments such as listening to your partner may be easier and not send your witness into overwhelm.
3. isn't all of life immersive?
as master of your universe, you ultimately decide how present you are to any moment; along for the ride or in the driver's seat. the mind may be late to the interactions naturally happening in life, but you are not your mind, you are this awareness, and the decision to be present, and the joy that comes from experiencing your life.
