By stating "He has no hold over me," Jesus is affirming that he has awakened from the dream of separation and realized his true Identity as the Christ, which is beyond the illusion of this world ruled by the ego's lies. He has transcended the ego's belief system and remains completely unaffected by its perceived power and deceptions. His message is that we too can awaken to the truth that the "prince of this world" is powerless over our true Self, which remains forever one with God.
