    2. Telemarketer: “Who am I speaking with?”

    3. Manager: “My name is Ron, who do I have the pleasure of speaking with?”

    4. Telemarketer: “Ron, my name is Tim Whims. I’m calling because I’ve got a couple of residential clients down in Collin County and they’ve been looking to get some junk removal. What town are you guys based in, are you in Plano?”

    5. Manager: “Yep, we’re in Plano. Where are your residents and clients located?”

    6. Telemarketer: “I got a few in and around Collin County. We’re basically a match-making company between the homeowners and the service provider, Ron. Plain and simple how it works…

    7. Manager: “Pucow. Ok, let me get back to work. We’re not interested right now, Sir.”

    Tip: Pattern interrupts are quite effective. It's a deliberate disruption of a predictable behavior to create a moment of surprise. 

    8. Telemarketer: “Well, like I said I’m in calling because I have actual clients in the area that need junk removal and...

    9. Manager: “Pucow. Pucow. Pucow” Not right now, sir. We’re not interested.”

    10. Telemarketer: “Wow, those chickens are really breaking loose over there today, huh?”

    11. Manager: “Ha,ha..I know, right, "cock-a-doodle-doo, talk to you later, bye”
