It's Not Death That People Are Afraid Of

1. People are afraid of losing their made-up sense of self.

People are afraid of losing the character of Joe, Bob, Rick, Ken, Sarah, Betty, Susie, and Jane they made up.

2. People have built their false sense of self with so much care and attention.

And they fear the dismantling of what they took decades to construct.

The Grim Reaper wipes it all away like dust in the wind.

3. People are afraid of not being separate (in form) anymore.

What happens to the ego when there isn't another body to attack?

What happens to the ego when there's no past or future?

What happens to the ego when there isn't a body to feel guilty about?

What happens to the ego when there isn't a body to take on the victim or perpetrator's role?

4. There is another way of looking at the world.

There is another way of looking at this.

You could see that you are not separate from existence.

If you could see that you were one with existence all your fear surrounding death would disappear.

Who is there to die?

What God creates cannot die.
