Japan Highlights
I will publish a blog with more details, right now I am uploading media, and this can help me organize my thoughts.
1. Onsen
I used these hot public baths sometimes 2-3 times a day. It helped keep me relaxed.
2. Tonkatsu
Finding a restaurant devoted to these fried, breaded pork chops took some doing, but it was tastily worth it.
3. Ninja Lesson
We learned how to throw shuriken, use blow darts, and some basic sword cuts all with drinks and a meal.
4. Nagoya Castle
There was a live show with Samurai and Ninja.
5. Meeting A Japanese Family at a Gyoza (dumpling) Restaurant
I think the son-in-law had too much to drink - he kept telling us he was Shohei Ohtani.
6. Dotonburi Street
Not only was it wild perusing all the food vendors and other shops, but I was able to use the sights to recognize Osaka in John Wick Chapter 4 before the movie told me where it was taking place.
7. Monkey Park in Arashiyama
There are strict rules about how to NOT engage with these macaques, but ultimately it was still an incredible close encounter.
8. Dog Cafes
One where we walked a dog, then stayed to pet some others, and another where we simply cuddled with mini French poodles.
9. Harajuku District
In Tokyo, not completely unlike Dontonburi
