Kids book stories

Friend suggested writing kids books. Here's a few topics /rough ideas for 10 books.

* maybe I can base them on stoic teachings

*rougher than usual. Not got the time to properly flesh these out today. Sorry. I hope to return to this list in the future so hopefully it'll be better then.

    1. Self talk

Think of your mind as another person. You don't need to accept what they say /tell you what to do. If it's speaking badly or pushing you to do something you know you shouldn't, tell it 'no! ' and take charge. Do this enough and your brain will soon stop trying.

    2. Bullying

Words can't harm you unless you let them. You know yourself better than others. You're the world expert on you. Why would you listen to someones opinion who isn't even studying you. You wouldn't listen to a nobody on other subjects. Why listen to them?

    3. Control

You can control your thoughts and actions. Everything else is outside of your control. Focus on having good thoughts and acting well. Nothing else matters.

What if you fail? If you did your best, you would have grown in the process. That's the true reward. Many stop growing after they reach top of the class. Carry on a little after school and you'll be smarter than all of them.

    4. Studying

Focus on putting what you're learning into real world use. If it can't be done it's not worth learning about. Life goes on after school. Focus on what you can use afterwards and you'll be much more successful. Putting what you learn into real world use will solidify your understanding. Aim to understand, not memorise.

    5. Loss

Imagine that you own nothing. It's all on loan from God (even if you don't believe in God it's worth pretending). You're friends, family, toys, games, everything. And once they've served their purpose he'll take them back. Acting as if they aren't ours to begin with lessens the feeling of loss and because we are aware they could be taken any time we have a much greater respect for them.

    6. Be Kind

If you have the power and time to help you someone else, do it. You don't need superpowers to be a hero. If you have the power to do something, someone else can you are a hero.
