Lesser Known Media I Loved
* Something fun to start off my return to Notepd. Thanks to whoever got rid of the spam. We all really appreciate it.
1. Erased (Anime)
A show about murder, growing up and time travel. It's a great mystery with the added twist of time travel. It was a shame about the ending.
An adult has the ability to rewind time, by a few minutes to prevent disasters from happening. Something then happens that kick this ability into overdrive. Sending him back to his childhood. Where he now has the chance to stop a kidnaping/murders. Honestly i can't recomend this enough it's such a nice feel good show.
2. Goldenboy (Anime)
If a bunch of teenage boys got together to write an anime, it would be almost identical to this. It doesn't take itself seriously and relies on the fun and silly factor. I really enjoyed it.
The main character is able to learn any skill extremely fast. He jumps from job to job, learning how to do it then moving onto another subject once he knows what he's doing.
3. Goodnight Punpun (Manga)
This may be the most depressing story I have ever read. Just when you think life couldn't get worse, it does.In a weird way this story gives me hope. The things that happen are real, but pun pun caries on.
Despite the main character being a bird it's ne of the most real stories I've read. Not for the faint of heart though. If you're not strong willed this will destroy you. And even the strongest of manly men will shed a tear at some point.
4. Eagle Vs Shark (Movie)
Movies nowadays are far to similar, that's why I love this film. A unique and fun story. The absurdity reminds me of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Things just get worse and worse. It's great.
The story of a loser trying and failing to become a winner.
5. PEN15 (TV Series)
James mentioned this in a distant podcast, so I gave it a chance. It's great. High school through the eyes of teenage girls. The writers play themselves and pull off being tenagers really well. It's fun and is a nice feel good show. Perfect when you're feeling down.
6. You Me And The Apocalypse (TV Series)
Sadly this show was cancled after only one series. It was great. Astroid is heading towards Earth. Everyones going to die. But we start the show inside a bunker, we see that some people have survived. The rest of the show is flashbacks to what led these weird mix of people together, inside the bunker.
End of the world shows are fun enough, but they include the second coming of Jesus, the anti-christ, secret government nuclear bunkers/plans, hidden religious doctrine. Do yourself and give this a watch, it's a story you haven't seen anywhere else.
7. Final Thoughts
I need to leave this wi-fi cafe, so this will be short. I'm happy my favourite website is back. I look forward to seeing it grow again.
