"While the ego always speaks first, and listens not, the Holy Spirit waits for your invitation. You may be surprised to hear how very different are their voices. The ego's voice is high-pitched and shrill, and the Holy Spirit's voice is low and gentle." ACIM

    1. There's a stark contrast between the ego's constant chatter and the Holy Spirit's quiet presence.

    2. "Your past learning must have taught you the wrong things, simply because it has not made you happy. On this basis alone, its value should be questioned." - ACIM

Question the validity of your past beliefs and thought patterns. Wisdom and happiness are found by looking beyond what you have learned from the ego's teachings.

    3. "The ego's plan for forgiveness is far more widely used than God's. This is because it is undertaken by unhealed healers and is therefore of the ego." - ACIM

The ego distorts the concept of forgiveness, leading you to believe that you are forgiving when you still hold onto judgments and grievances. In contrast, true forgiveness, as guided by the Holy Spirit, involves a deeper understanding and healing. Until you look for the deeper truth within you will remain unhappy and lost.
