Products In My Life Now
Heading into the 1/4 mile turn on the track of 65. Looking around me (literally & figuratively), I have and am using things I never thought about (or imagined) when I was 35.
1. Smart Phone
A computer with a phone app. And no landline any more.
2. Internet, Of Course
Had a PC, probably with both DOS and Windows. And a dial-up modem.
Side story - right after we got married, my wife wanted to buy a house (where we are now). It was away from my friends and family, but not too far. I agreed, as long as there was cable internet service (which there was).
3. Essential Oil Diffuser
A couple of years ago, for some reason I decided try these. Now, I have one at home and one at the office. Switch up the oils but lemongrass is the current favorite. Clove after that.
4. Pain Remedies
For the screwy shoulder, comfrey salve and Salon Paz patches, for the recent back sprain and chronic (minor) disk issues, a back patch with capsaicin, and trying DMSO for both of them. Several are on my desk for "instant" use when needed.
5. Cat Condo
When I was single, I didn't have a pet (except tropical fish) because I wasn't home consistently to take care of them. Married 24 years, we have three cats (six total over the years, seven if you count the kitten we tried to save from the roadside) and a dog. And yes, an aquarium.
6. "Gun" Massager
Years and years ago the folks had a small "deep heat massager (by Pollenex -ChatGPT helped me remember it), but nothing like the gun massagers available today.

7. Supplements
A variety of liquid and pill. Using ChatGPT to streamline the number (and cost) of them. Laughed at my mother back in the day for all the ones she took.
8. Grandma's Chair
An old living room chair that my folks reupholstered, a reminder that I'm older than Grandma was when she gave it to my folks, and older than when they gave it to me. Damned, I'm old...
9. AI Artwork
When I was fiddling with AI images early on, I liked a few so much that I printed and put them in a frame and hung them on the wall in my office. For the guy who can't draw a straight line, I really liked "my" work!
10. Bone Conducting Earphones
Just the concept blew me away... and I figure less damage to the eardrums than in-ear wireless. At least I hope...
