Seeking advice: Overcoming the Comfort Zone in Productivity

    1. Acknowledge and give, yourself, credit for what you have achieved before going on to the next thing.

    2. What did your last effort cost you physically and mentally? Replenish those before taking on another big challenge.

    3. Did your last big project cost you anything in terms of relationships? Reconnect with any family members or friends you neglected.

    4. Assess what you learned. What kind of challenge are you now better equipped to take on?

    5. Reconnect with any dreams you left behind. Could this be the right time to reclaim one?

    6. If there are several options, take time to explore all of them. Listen to your intuition.

    7. When you have decided, map your journey to your desired outcome and list the why(s) as well as the how’s. Build in points at which you will celebrate progress.

    8. When motivation flags, refresh your connection to the whys and celebrate progress. If necessary, make the steps smaller and the celebrations more frequent.

    9. Find fellow adventurers who are excited about their project. Even if it’s quite different, encourage each other and celebrate each other’s wins and commiserate with the losses.

    10. Frequently remind yourself to care for yourself and others—your biggest project is your life.
