Specialness vs Special Function. (1 min 28 sec)

Preview

    1. Specialness.

We desire to feel unique in ways that separate us from others. It's like wanting to be the "chosen one" or believing we're more important or better than others. This is the source of competition, jealousy, and conflict because everyone is trying to be the most special. It's a race to the bottom where no one wins because it creates division and doesn't lead to lasting happiness.

    2. Special Function.

On the other hand, a "Special Function" is about recognizing that each of us has a unique role and purpose in life. We're all pieces of a bigger puzzle, and each piece is important. Instead of trying to be more special than others, we focus on fulfilling our unique role, which is doing our part in a team to achieve a common goal. This approach promotes cooperation, understanding, and a sense of fulfillment because we're contributing to something greater than ourselves.

    3. In simple terms, specialness is about wanting to be better than others, while a special function is about recognizing our unique role and how it fits into the larger picture of life.

    4. What skills or abilities do you possess, and in what ways are you utilizing them to contribute to the greater good?
