    1. We build support systems.

    2. We medicate ourselves with pain medication.

    3. We distract ourselves with every form of entertainment imaginable.

    4. We exercise the body into perfect shape.

    5. We have sought counseling from therapists for decades.

    6. We take drugs to try and numb the pain.

    7. We drink alcohol in excess.

    8. We create all sorts of self-care practices.

    9. We attend religious services religiously.

    10. We pray incessantly.

    11. But the psychological pain persists.

    No one ever tells you to question your thoughts. No one has ever told you to question the attack thoughts within your own mind. No one has told you to question your identity with being a victim of the world. And no one has ever told you that you, and you alone, are responsible for your happiness. It's time we stop blaming the whole world for our current situation.
