Ten Favorite Fast Food Items

In no particular order. Some are flavored by memories of days gone by, some are recent. And I've greatly reduced consumption in the last few years, so of course I'm wanting them all, and more.

    1. White Castle sliders

Went to WC often as a kid when we would visit our cousins. Sort of comfort food in that way.

    2. McDonald's Fries

When they cooked them in lard, not in the crap oil they use now.

    3. Wendy's Son of Baconator

The full Baconator is just too much for my older self, and they didn't have it when I was a kid.

    4. Burger King Whopper

Before the recent shrinkflation reduction in size.

    5. McDonald's Hot Apple Pies

When they fried them and the innards were molten lava hot.

    6. Roy Rogers Cole Slaw

Shouldn't like it, but love it. They put a Roy in close to home before the lock downs, got my fix for the first time in years. Then, they went out of business.

    7. Blimpie's Subs

Not sure why, but always loved them. Just enough meat and cheese, great roll. BTW, I've always disliked Subway.

    8. Dunkin Bacon Snack

Not sure what it is called, but bacon coated with sugar.

    9. White Rose System (Highland Park, NJ)

Single location (Woodbridge Ave) - classic greasy spoon. Place to go after the bars closed. Great burgers, used to give you fries in a wax paper bag. Could almost read your mind, and had your order ready almost before it got out of your mouth.

    10. Gino's Burgers

Long out of business, they had ketchup and mustard and pieces of onion. Another kid memory. And, they were within walking distance of home when I was young. Hangout place with friends, too.
