Ten Ways I've Used AI / ChatGPT Lately
Using it a lot more than Google or other search engines these days.
Also, wrote this on Saturday, wanted to test if the "Schedule Idea List" feature is working.
1. List of False Political Claims
Just curious about what the AI considers false. Might ask it to provide factual backup. Seemed to "hit" both sides of the aisle in the US.
2. GI Joe Authenticity Check
Got a GI Joe from a friend (I collect the 12" version), and while I knew what it was, I wanted to test the AI. Uploaded pictures, and it got it right, as well as offering potential value and offered to suggest the appropriate uniform and accessories to find.
3. Car Repair Code Evaluation
Our son's car has a drive train warning ('15 BMW X3). Took it to a local repair shop who ran a diagnostic and printed the codes for me. I put them into ChatGPT, and it gave me what those codes meant, the level of urgency for repair, and a price range for the repairs of each.
The repair shop then got back to me to say that he narrowed the problem to a module, with an estimated repair cost.
I updated that thread, and ChatGPT said that clarification would explain the codes, and said the shop estimate was in the lower third of generally estimated repair costs.
4. Excel Database Setup
For work, have a bunch of Excel spreadsheets with common data (clients) that would be better in a database. Started the process of having ChatGPT set up the database. Got pulled away with the usual daily nonsense, but will get back to it.
5. Driving Route Assistance
With the sinkholes shutting down Interstate Rt 80 (MAJOR traffic route through our part of New Jersey), wanted to see if there were better route options for our son to get to work when he'd normally take Rt. 80. Nothing better than how I get to work in that same area avoiding 80, but justifying my route choice.
6. Ginger Powder Effectiveness
Wondered if the ginger powder I use in my drinks was as good as fresh (not quite) or supplements (yes).
7. Supplement Dosage Optimization
Want to cut supplement costs and avoid some duplication. With a base of a liquid multi, what I'd need to get what I needed with less pills and reduced expense.
8. Creeping Thyme for ground cover in NJ
Considered it for our side yard where we have had mulch for our son's play set (long since gone). Beautiful, but doesn't hold up to foot traffic.
9. DMSO for Arthritis Relief
Was seeing reports about the liquid from the '70s that was suppressed by Big Pharma. Going to try it.
10. Amyloid & Coagulation Disorders
Had DVTs a couple years ago, and have been taking Nattokinase since I stopped meds. Was looking into whether it helps (it does help, but the jury is out about Amyloid abnormalities).
