That's a powerful shift in perspective. (1 min 15 sec)

    1. Instead of trying to control desires work on the misperceptions that fuel desires.

    2. ** Identify the Misperceptions**

Lack: All desires stem from a perceived lack of love, security, or happiness. We already possess everything we need within ourselves – love, joy, and peace.
Separation: Desires seek to fill a perceived gap between ourselves and something we believe we lack. When we recognize we're one it dissolves our sense of separation and lessens the need for external fulfillment.
Fear: Fear of loss, pain, or judgment fuels desires for control and security. Once we see that these fears are based on illusions and choose forgiveness instead we lessen their hold.
Practice Forgiveness: Forgiveness is not condoning actions, it's about releasing the belief that we are separate from love due to perceived wrongs.

    3. **Shifting Our Focus**

Instead of focusing on controlling desires, let's shift our focus toward experiencing the love and peace that are already present within us.
