A straight line can also imply a stiff arm - you stay away from me.
Straight lines are also used to make things that are square, rectangular, octagon, hexagon, etc.
Lines also create the appearance of things being separate instead of part of the same whole.
Lines invite comparisons:
My line is thicker than yours, slimmer than yours, longer, shorter.
I'm the first line, I'm the last line, I'm the only white line or I'm the first black line.
I'm such a skinny line, I wish I could lose some weight line.
I'm a sexy and pretty line or I'm just an ugly old line.
I'm happy or sad line, I'm a young line or an old line until you're a dead line...
