The Writing Seasons by Nicole Gulotta

I came across the Writing Seasons today. I'd never heard of them before. They were an eye opener.

I've always subscribed to the bum on seat philosophy of writing. Writers write. Others are just procrastinating. Recently, I've struggled to write even with my bum on seat. I thought it was some failure on my part. But, based on the Writing Seasons, perhaps there's work I need to do in other areas so that I'm in balance. I need to nurture and nourish different areas of my life rather than neglecting them.

Perhaps bum on seat works for some writers. But perhaps not for me.
