Things I'm working on

I've been having a lot of disagreements with my current employer. I believe they're treating me and other teachers very unfairly and even breaking the law. I've hired a lawyer to investigate some things. This has took up a lot of my time. I value Justice, as a result this isn't something I can easily walk away from.

I'm hopeful. The law is on my side.

I'm still writing my Psychological Biases book. I'm 27,000 words into my second draft. I hope I can finish it this year, but I'm in no rush. I want this to be a must read book. The lessons are important, I need to teach them properly.

I'm writing a sort of diary of my time in Japan. I'd like to publish this as a book as well. I'm looking back at photos, chats and facebook posts to remind me what happened each day and writing short thoughts about each day. It's a concept I haven't seen before, but i think i can make this work. I'm hopeful.

As it's based on a lot of things I've already written this is coming along nicely. I'm already at 10,000 words and I've just finished writing about April.

Hopefully my lawyers win my case, so this diary can end on a nice high note.

I don't like my current company. Never have i had to get a lawyer. These are serious problems. If you'd like to learn more about my current company r/TeachEnglishInJapan on reddit is a great resource.

I'm applying, but it's not been easy. I hate job searching. It takes up far more time and energy than an actual job and you're lucky to get any benefits from it (maybe an interview. Even rarer passing said interview and getting the job.)

I really want to learn Japanese, but with everything else going on, this hasn't been easy. I can state likes/dislikes. Hopefully I can find some time to focus and learn a bit more soon.

Sorry for the lack of lists. I love this site and really want to share more and help build this site back into what it once was, but I'm exhausted. I experience burnout most months. Hopefully i can finish this fight soon.
