Things that are a waste of time
On my walk last night, thought of a few things
1. Complaining
For longer than a few moments, or a day, at most. Other than venting, what do you gain? If you don't like something, do something about it or move on.
2. Jealousy
Lusting for what other people have is a fool's errand. It will never end. Be happy for someone. Be grateful for what you have. Other people are jealous of you. Often times we think we really want something, then when we attain it, it isn't what we thought it would be. It doesn't fill the void.
3. Gossip
Talking poorly about others seems like a form of pulling people down. Everyone is odd. Everyone has low moments. Don't pile on. If you know someone who gossips often, they will be talking poorly behind your back, too.
4. Hindsight Bias

Everything seems easy after the fact.
5. Comparison
"It's the thief of joy."

Comparing can be motivating, but make sure to run your own race.
6. Revenge
If you think you got the short end of the stick in something minor, just move on. Living your life to "get even" is not good for your well-being.
7. Hedonic Treadmill

Figure out what's enough, for you.
8. Pleasing everyone
You can't do it.
9. Playing the lottery
I still do this now and then and it brings me great joy to think "what if?"
10. Judging others
"Don't throw stones in glass houses."
