1. Affordability
Summer Camp hopefully remains available to all
2. Competitiveness
There are an ever increasing demand for the time and attention of campers and families. Camp needs to stand out.
3. Length of Programs
As a partial solution to the above, it seems camps could offer programs of varying length.
4. Staffing challenges
Often times, camps are left scrambling attempting to fill camp slots. To ensure a successful camp, scale your programs and enrollment to staff; not the other way around.
5. Return enrollment
Of both staff and campers. Return campers are symbolic of a successful program as are returning staff.
6. Summer Camp is a year round job.
Too many Camp organizers start thinking about camp in April and quit in Sept.
