Things that will help my projects be better
This should be an ongoing list.
What are the things that I can do to make sure that my projects are run smoother?
Implemented faster?
Make the client happier?
Make the programs more engaging for users?
1. Create a project charter
Clear define what the goal of the project is.
2. Determine up front what customization need to be made that made have a cost or require engineering effort
3. Clearly define the launch date of the program
4. Create a project exit survey for the client to complete about what could be improved through the process
5. Communicate more often via email with the client - be proactive
6. Create a master project plan and keep it up to date - pass it along to the Account Manager once the project is closed
7. Write idea lists during the project to make it better
During the project think about ways to make each of the process more automated.
8. Go above and beyond
Find ways to delight the client
Record customer requests to be sent along to Consulting Services, to be developed in the future. Right now there is no consulting services this would be a new 'department' that could be used to earn money.
