Things to keep in mind when you change phones

I recently changed my phone. This is what I learned from my mistakes

1. Remember to migrate all of your apps

Most of the time, this is assumed in the package they send you. Verizon sent me a cord and sent instructions. Google did most of the heavy lifting by linking nearly everything to the Google Store and my gmail accounts.

2. Log into all of the apps that you are critical for you to get through the day

Make sure the data is transferred and your logins works

3. Remove the apps on your old phone that have personal information that you would hate to share

Uninstall personal apps (Mail, Music, Journal)

4. Remember to check that all of the files you've downloaded have migrated.

If they don't, make sure you download them onto something else.

5. Remember to have backups turned on your new phone

6. Remember to migrate all of your authentication apps (Google and Microsoft)

7. Remember to send your phone back to the network
