Travel Bucket List for Adventurous Families

    1. Thailand

    0
I went here for our honeymoon, and it has a wide variety of terrains and eco-systems that would make an extended trip a lot of fun.

    2. Costa Rica

Similar appeal to Thailand, only I'm the only one in the family to have been there.

    3. New Zealand

My wife went in her 20s, and she's been obsessed ever since.

    4. Ireland

I think there are some beautiful walks and hikes. A friend of mine bike toured it too.

    5. Japan

A bit questionable for this list, but I've been fascinated by elements of Japanese culture, and I'll bet a family can find fun things to do.

    6. Belize

    7. Tuscany, Italy

Pastoral setting, getting around by bike, FOOD!

    8. Spain - Andalusia

I loved Seville and the surrounding area on a solo trip. Suitability for family activities would need to be investigated

@apkussma Great list. Where in Thailand have you been? Happy to see it's first on your list!
Japan is absolutely worth a trip. With or without family.
Don't dismiss Switzerland in the summer. Great hiking, beautiful lakes, amazing train rides and so much more.
What is the most exotic place you traveled to?

@Reggie Thailand we went to Chiang Mai for hiking, spent time in a rainforest treehouse in Khao Sok, and of course the beach in Koh Phi Phi. You're right about Switzerland in the summer, I was there in a high school summer and it was amazing. My brother went bouldering in Interlaken too, and said it was incredible.

@apkussma It is. Although probably most expensive. In Thailand, the same amount of money takes you much further.
