Ways To Communicate While On A Silent Retreat
I've been fantasizing about going on one of these - an ex-girlfriend described it to me years ago and it seemed crazy at the time, but now I could do with a break from communication demands.
1. Facial Expression
Convey emotion
2. Hand Signals/Gestures
Come here, Look at that, etc.
3. Pantomime
Acting out more complex scenarios
4. Mouthing words
5. Written Notes
6. Pointing
7. Morse Code
8. Tracing letters in the sand
9. Typing into an electronic device with a screen
I'd prefer to avoid electronics, but I'm running out of ideas
