Ways to "Snap out of it"

Get out of your depression funk and get back to living your best life

    1. Turn off all screens.

    Turn off the TV and put down the phone. Close your eyes and rub them.

    2. With eyes closed, slowly roll your head around a few times. Then back the other way.

    Begin a motion. Make a move, change a thought.

    3. Roll your shoulders.

    Begin a motion. Make a move, change a thought.

    4. Change the subject in your mind.

    Think about something completely unrelated to what you're currently thinking about.

    5. Get up and walk around

    Get your blood pumping to your brain.

    6. Go outside for a walk, run, or bike.

    Clear your head of all thoughts and concentrate on the motion.

    7. Think about all the things for which you are grateful. Leave out the "buts"

    8. Splash some cold water on your face.

    9. Play some music.

    10. Call someone else and ask how they are doing.
