What are the best ways to earn money freelance anyone can do?

Where most of the entires for this challenge will probably talk about some of the same ideas like Uber or writing or other things, I want to come at it a little differently, maybe more bottom up would be a way to describe it?

    1. What are you able to do?

What do you know how to do already that people might pay for? Can you fix things? Can you cook?

If you're decent at some things then just being decent shows a proficiency that can probably be improved upon and monetized.

    2. What service can you provide?

Simple examples here where I live, in the winter I can plow people out when it snows, I have a plow blade on my ATV. I could do chainsaw work up to a point. If a tree that needs to be felled is very complex, you should pay up for a company, not a neighbor with a saw but trees down across the road or falling a tree that is not complex, very doable.

This one has an element of localism to it. If you live in San Diego, there probably aren't too many opportunities to plow someone out in the winter time.

    3. What sorts of things do you really want to do?

An easy example for this one is creating art. The list here is limitless; photography, collage art, making art from discarded items, making art from baseball cards, I like art made from motherboard, it goes on and on. It's not realistic to just start up and expect to make money right away. The runway here might be longer but this is path to monetize something you love doing.

    4. Monetize a hobby

Similar to number 3, if you've been doing some hobby for an extended period, you probably have some understand of whether it is possible to monetize and if so, how to do it.
