What are your top Home Remedies?
None of these will likely cure anything. What they do is help alleviate symptoms
1. Dakin’s Solution
Great wound cleanser made from 5.25% beach, baking soda and water. It can be made in several different concentrations. Read full directions online before mixing
2. Lemon vinegar
1 oz vinegar, one squeezed lemon, in 8oz water. Great gargle, rinse, or drink promoting health.
3. Fresh air
Open the window and/ or get outdoors. Our homes are not always the healthiest.
4. Sunlight
See above
5. Honey
I prefer it in hot, black tea but honey in any form is full of vitamins, nutrition, and antimicrobial properties
6. Ginger
Great for all forms of nausea, stomach, and GI discomfort.
7. Aloe
Grow some and use the raw sap for any burns or other topical skin conditions
8. Ginseng
In powdered form, it can be added to most anything. Again, I prefer it as an additive in black tea.
9. Chicken broth
It's a classic for a reason
10. More vinegar
White vinegar diluted approx 50% with water is a another great topical application for rashes, acne, bites, stings. and other skin conditions. I like to add a small amount of isopropyl alcohol as well for its drying properties.
CAUTION: IMO this is too strong for open wounds. YMMV.
