What can you do to be active?
1. Take a walk in the morning, after lunch, and after dinner
2. Play tennis
3. Garden
4. Do the NYT 7-Minute Body Exercise
https://www.nytimes.com/guides/well/activity/the-7-minute-workout
5. Play frisbee
6. Attend a yoga class
7. Ride a bike
8. POMODORO breaks
9. Kayak or paddle board
Set a timer that goes off ever 50 minutes for a 10-minute work break. During the work break do 30 jumping jacks, pushups, or dips, lunges, squats, bridges, etc.
10. Foundation training by Dr. Eric
I use an X3 bar at home or goto the gym and use their equipment
11. STRETCH!
takes about 10-15 minutes and I do it a couple times per week in the morning.
12. Strength training
Stretching is a great thing to do with how often we sit!
Roll your shoulders forward, then roll them backwards
Roll your head up pause for a couple breaths, then look down and pause, then look to the right and to the left.
Stick your arms out parallel to the ground and trace small circles with your thumbs facing forward now reverse and have your thumbs facing backwards
Try and reach for your toes
Reach your arms into the air as high as you can and then bend them back a little (good morning stretch)
And sometimes... just lay on the flat ground with your hands at your side and do nothing but breath deeply.
