What gender equality and equity mean to me personally
1. Women in the Workforce
Women have fought hard to be seen as equals in the workforce. In many countries, women are still not given the same opportunities as men. This needs to change.
2. Equal Pay for Equal Work
Women should be paid the same as men for doing the same job. There are many countries where women are paid less than men for doing the same job. This is unfair and needs to change.
3. Parental Leave
Parental leave should be equal for both parents. Currently, in many countries, mothers are given more time off than fathers. This is unfair and needs to change.
4. Domestic Violence
Domestic violence is a problem that affects both men and women. However, it is often seen as a problem that only affects women. This needs to change.
5. Gender roles
Gender roles are still a big problem in many societies. Women are often seen as being inferior to men. This needs to change.
6. Respect
I think that both genders should be treated with respect and not be judged based on their gender.
7. Freedom to Be Yourself
I feel that everyone should be able to express themselves in any way they feel comfortable, without fear of judgement or discrimination.
8. Equal Opportunities
I think that everyone should have an equal opportunity to succeed in life, regardless of their gender.
