Family members are starting the college search ritual again. Assuming they've already decided that college or university is the path they want to pursue, what are some factors to consider?

1. Does it offer a degree or program you’re interested in?

2. Cost

3. Distance from home

4. Extracurricular activities

5. Housing options

6. Graduation rates

7. Job placements upon graduation

8. Accreditation

There can be multiple layers to this and may not be as straightforward as it appears.

9. Does the program offer professional or career credentials as well as a degree?

10. Does it offer the opportunity to earn credits outside of the class room?
