What’s Your Perfect Day? The 10 R's
The 3 Rs (of which only one actually starts with R) in education are Reading, (w)Riting and (a)Rithmetic. I will use this as the basis for responding to this challenge. The perfect day would contain these 10 Rs.
1. Reading
Curling up with a good book.
2. (w)Riting
Spending some time being creative with the written word.
3. (a)Rithmetic
I'm an engineer, and though I'm not the kind who is passionate about all things technological 24/7, I do like to spend at least some time being analytical or doing high-level design, and reaping from the education and experience I've sown over my career.
4. Refreshments
Maybe coffee and pancakes for breakfast, beer and burger for lunch, and wine and pasta for dinner?
5. Running
Still my favourite form of exercise.
6. Riding
I didn't use to like cycling as much as running, as I felt there was more of an investment of time to simply get out the door (check tire pressure, get helmet and sunglasses, fill water bottle). As I get older, I think it might be easier on my joints and feeling the wind on my face seems more appealing.
7. Rehabilitation
Stretching, massage, and exercises to prevent injury.
8. Romance
Quality time with my wife.
9. Relation(s)
Quality time with the whole family.
10. Relaxation
Is there time for a nap or a bath in this perfect day?
