Why Linux is Great

My desktop (Mint 21, Xfce) while I am thinking about #10

1. It needs fewer resources than Windows and OSX

It runs just fine on older hardware

2. No viruses

3. You can customize it

Very easy with Xfce, KDE or Cinnamon

4. It has a DIY charm

You can adapt things to your liking

5. It is free

As in free of charge and also not owned by a company

6. Great diversity of desktop environments and software

Though this can also be a disadvantage, as it is confusing for new users

7. Great community

There is a culture of learning and helping others

8. Using it gives you a feeling of achievement

At least, if you are an Arch user ;-)

9. Some distributions are very easy to use

I'm using Mint. Everybody can use Mint.

10. It is very stable

Never had any issues with Mint, Debian or Ubuntu.

11. It increases the lifespan of old chromebooks

12. It is great for amateur programmers

Python 3 is preinstalled. You can do a lot with C or Rust.
