1. Without love, our intelligence is limited by negativity, self-interest, and a closed mind.
Love allows for compassion, understanding, and the ability to see things from different perspectives.
2. Holding onto grievances hinders love.
Holding onto grudges creates a barrier to experiencing and expressing love. It keeps us stuck in a negative emotional state and prevents us from connecting with others. We are limited like an animal tied to a hitching post. We become restricted and unable to move freely.
3. The Unthreatenable Self.
The Self cannot be harmed or threatened. It's unchanging and beyond our ego-driven thoughts and emotions. However, we have a tremendous capacity to "hide" this true Self. We get caught up in the ego, negativity, and past experiences. We lose touch with the boundless love that lies within.
