Really one decision with 3 phases
Done! I still use my Amazon card for monthly expenses so I can fund my book addiction with the rewards points. I pay it off every month.
I am IT Director, help desk, network engineer, system administrator, ERP administrator, SQL DBA, report writer, data analyst, data entry clerk, responsible for anything that runs on electricity that no one else wants to bother with, on call 24x7x365. My vacation days just mean I only work when I get a call or email, and I get to do that from the beach. I hate my job.
I'm about to reallly open up here, hopefully that will be a good thing.
I love the company I work for, but I hate my job. More than that, I am tired of being an employee. I have a plan in place to leave my job around 1 year from now. While I have some things in mind, the overall goal is to do whatever the heck I want to do from day to day and find a way to earn an income from it. There is so much I would love to do in my life, and this job is in my way.
We get so emotionally attached to our "things", I think it is very important to ground ourselves. The first 5 answers are must-haves, and the rest are just bonuses. Let's be thankful that we have our modern conveniences.
There is a free course at https://learn.saylor.org/course/view.php?id=410 that I am taking. The course defines critical thinking as "The ability to think clearly and rationally about what to do or what to believe".
You learn to challenge your assumptions about everything in an effort to see things as they really are. This will help you be open to hearing different points of view and engaging in meaningful dialog with others.
Confession: I'm addicted to learning. My first idea list was about my varied interests, and that was just the tip of the iceberg! I love to learn and try new things, and this list is about how to turn my addiction into a blog. This is more of a To-Do List than an Idea List...one idea with several steps.
Dive into your topic and start learning.
This is my first list, so I am using my top interests that will feed the rest of my idea lists.
I'm currently a bass player in a local band that gigs 6-8 times per year. We label ourselves professional amateurs, but we have a good time. I've set up a basic DAW/home studio for recording and producing.
