Colorado vs. North Carolina

Where do you suggest I move to?

I currently live in a warmer climate and may still spend some time down here in the winter.

Between these two, I've considered Colorado Springs, Denver, Raleigh, and Charlotte, to name a few places. I don't love living in big cities, but would move to a suburb of Denver or Charlotte, for example.

What do you think? What are the pros and cons? What cities do you like in each state?

Cost is a factor. That's why I am looking at Colorado Springs over a city like Boulder. It appears that NC is cheaper to live in than CO. I like Mountain Time Zone over Eastern because Monday Night Football is on too late on the east coast! I work remotely, but also think a strong local job market has its benefits.
