10 Actions I need To Do To Publish A Book Next Year
1. Participate in NaNoWriMo
National November Writing Month
2. Find a proofreader
3. Decide on a title
4. Do I need to find an illustrator?
Probably at least for the cover art.
Random thought: Would it be good if more novels written for adults would have an occasional illustration or map imbedded in the pages of the book? Maybe one per chapter?
5. Do I have a book?
I know the title mentioned book but maybe this material would work better as an article, short story, or even a series.
6. Should I use an agent?
Probably not but an option to explore.
7. Identify a market for my book. And the players in that market.
8. Submit the manuscript.
This could involve lots of postage and waiting. Or just pushing the upload button.
9. Print, electronic, both?
This should have been earlier, but I just thought of it.
10. Reward yourself.
You are now a published author! Who cares if the only ones who ever read it is you and your grandma?😎
