1. Ray's Day, Every Day
"You shouldn't hug yourself all day!" said Rays' wife. "Why not? I love ME, I can hardly help it"
"Just look, everyone agrees with me. So stop, just stop"
Rays' son, his best friend, the preacher that married his parents, and his mother-in-law Ireen. Ray looked around and everyone nodded in agreement with Sally in the small room.
"Looking Good Rev. Joe"
"Thanks, Ray, today's my two-hundredth birthday!"
"That's great Revrin, lookin good Rev. . . . " said Ray hugging himself on the bed.
2. A man took a fishing trip. The last day he called his family and said his goodbyes. Removing his socks for the last time, they were soaking wet.
3. The Neighbor
Finally getting his car back from the shop, late in the day. He had to park down the street. The sign on the pole read, "LOST DOG - REWARD."
He tore down every poster.
4. Lucy's troubles were over forever, so she thought. She watched the dime roll across the gas station floor and left.
5. There were hardly any leftovers after The Permian Tidepool Boil & BBQ.
6. He counted himself lucky kneeling down and kissing the flat tire as he watched the Sanfransico Bridge collapse. He waited and waited, his Uber never arrived.
7. Night Skies
She was filled with dread, it was night and she knew she would be followed again. She got in the car and moved her seat so her head was behind the pillar so as not to be seen.
Slowly going through the neighborhood, she thought she lost him behind some trees. Then, taking a right, he found her again. She quickly unbuckled as the car stopped in the driveway.
Bolting out of the car and into the house she was safe.
"Wait, honey, you forgot your Dollie."
8. Life
A woman cries in the hospital parking lot, her husband places the car seat in the trunk.
9. Underwater chats
"Hey, whatever happened to. . uh, Cod?
"You, know the one who makes ads"
"You mean copywriter Cod?", "yeah him"
"ohhh, well he didn't make it, bad hooks"
10. Coming Home
One day a boy found a box of mirrors with holes in the middle.
"Look MA! Look what I found!", reflecting the sunlight in her eyes. "Billy Stop that! Your blinding me. Besides those are not toys, they're for if you get lost in the wood. . Billy stop your blinding me."
"Your dad will be home soon, be ready to help put the plane away"
It took Billy five summers to pay for the damages to the barn, but he was happy his dad was finally home from the hospital.
